Okay, so Jesus Christ or Yeshua as he was known in Galilee was neither a military leader nor a politician as many in the Hebrew nation expected of a Messiah. How in the world did he and his small band of disciples turn a simple message to love God and neighbor turn this message into the world’s largest religion within two hundred years and continue to grow worldwide for two thousand years until it had 2.2 billion people following the Christian religious tradition? Truly, this is a mystery worth examining. No printing press, no telephone, no reliable postal service and speaking several languages and honoring several cultures, this band of brothers found a way to keep the message pure and simple while fighting internal dissention and external persecution. Ignatius, Jerome, Origen, and thousand of giants worthy of discussion are found in the first centuries of their existence. What were their challenges and how did they overcome them?
